Breakfast
Start your day with our Sonnenhof gourmet breakfast – a tasty mix of served favourites and a help-yourself buffet. Tuck into crispy breads and pastries, sweet and savoury bites, fine cheeses, bacon and sausage, creamy yoghurts and fresh milk straight from the farm next door. There’s plenty of fresh fruit and veg, homemade muesli, fruity jams, and lovely honey from local beekeepers. And of course, we serve aromatic coffee and freshly cooked egg dishes to order!
Dinner
Settle in and enjoy a laid-back evening with us, where we serve up creative Austrian dishes with a tasty mix of Mediterranean and Asian flavours. Enjoy a mix of set menu courses and buffet selections – there’s plenty to choose from! Our starter and salad buffet is a real favourite, so don’t be shy about going back for seconds! Fancy something different? Pop into our à la carte restaurant, ESSBAR, which has picked up 2 Falstaff forks. Got any special requests, allergies or intolerances? Just let us know – we’ll make sure you’re well looked after.

ESSBAR Upgrades
Our à la carte restaurant, ESSBAR, is renowned in the region and beyond for its top quality steaks. It has been awarded 2 forks by the Falstaff Restaurant Guide for several years. To enjoy ESSBAR dishes as a Sonnenhof guest, we offer the following UPGRADES to your half board arrangement:
Option 1 – between Wednesday and Saturday
You enjoy dinner at your assigned table and choose from our ESSBAR à la carte menu in place of our half board meal. If you opt out of the half board meal, we will credit €20 per person to your room/hotel bill. Please contact our reception team.
Option 2 – daily available
You enjoy our half board menu of the day at your assigned table and exchange the main course at an extra charge for beef fillet, entrecôte, rib-eye, or Churrasco steak. Please book in advance in the morning.
