In response to the current situation we have adjusted our cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your holidays due to Covid-19 our modified cancellation policy applies: Reservations may be cancelled free of charge or rescheduled up to 3 days prior to arrival; e.g. in case of implementation of safety measures, border closures, strict entry & exit regulations, in case of quarantine regulations, if you contract Covid-19 etc. We are absolutely flexible with every booking. Do you need to cancel your reservation, shorten your stay or reservation period? We will certainly try our best to avoid cancellation fees. In general the following fees apply in case of cancellation:

  • Up to 6 weeks prior to arrival no cancellation fee
  • Up to 3 weeks prior to arrival 40% of the total agreed price
  • Up to 1 week prior to arrival 70% of the total agreed price
  • Less than 1 week prior to arrival 90% of the total agreed price

In order to avoid any inconvenience, we recommend taking out a travel cancellation insurance here. In case of cancellation the General Terms and Conditions for the Austrian Hotel Industry apply.

Our hotel is open in summer from May to October and in winter from December to March. Our friendly and helpful reception team is available between 8:00 and 20.00. Our apartments can be booked year-round. For more FAQs please see below:

  • Rooms will be ready on the day of your arrival from 14.00. Apartments will be ready at 15.00.
  • We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11.00 on the day of your departure.

Please contact us for different arrangements.

  • The Sonnenhof NATURAL SPA is available for you on the day of your arrival (from 10.00) and on the day of your departure (until 19.00) at no extra charge!
  • Rooms and apartments will be ready from 14.00 on the day of your arrival. On the day of your departure, we kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11.00.

Free parking spaces are available in front of the hotel and apartment building. Alternatively you can book a parking space in the carport (€ 10/day).

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in the entire hotel and apartment buildings.

We are happy to arrange a pick-up from the train station Jenbach or airport Innsbruck or Munich. Please discuss any details per E-Mail or phone.

The Sonnenhof hotel & apartments are within 5 minutes walking distance (approx. 400m) from the Karwendel cable car (hiking and skiing area). The Rofan cable car (hiking and skiing area) is located in the neighbouring village Maurach. It can be reached within 5 minutes by car or the free regional bus.

We accept cash, Maestro or credit card (Visa and Mastercard).

We offer two wheelchair accessible rooms in the hotel as well as two apartments in the apartment building. The restaurant is barrier-free and we have a lift at the hotel.

Yes, our guests receive 20% greenfee discount at the Golfclub Achensee (Pertisau).

On arrival every guest will receive the free AchenseeCard (= visitors card). Included are:

  • Regional bus
  • Use of cross-country ski tracks
  • Discounts for steam cog railway, Achensee shipping company, various museums

The lake is approx. 700 metres from the hotel and approx. 600 metres from the apartment building. The lake is visible from the top floor of the hotel only. Each room and apartment offers a splendid view of the surrounding mountains.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay with us against a fee of € 20 – 30/day and dog without food. Please let us know in advance if you would like to bring your dog. As a courtesy to guests suffering from allergies, we do not allow dogs in certain room and apartment categories. We ask for your understanding that dogs are not allowed in the hotel restaurant, spa area and spa garden.

Holiday region Achensee: Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in the entire Achensee holiday region. In addition, dogs must wear a muzzle in all public means of transport (buses, cable cars, ships). Dog owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up and properly disposing of their dog’s waste. We offer a delivery service of daily fresh bread and bread rolls. In the evening, please enter your order into the list and the next morning you will receive fresh bread, rolls and pastries delivered to your door.

The apartment building is within 1 minute walking distance (approx. 120 metres).

There is a laundry room with washer and dryer available at the apartment building (€ 2/washer chip, dryer free of charge), as well as an iron and ironing board.

At the hotel we offer laundry service (prices according to list).

Just put your used towels in front of your apartment door in the morning. Our housekeeping staff will place fresh towels in your apartment – free of charge.

All rooms & suites in the hotel have a spacious balcony with deckchairs.

All apartments have a balcony with deckchairs as well. The apartment “Tirol” and one of the apartment category “Natur” have access to the garden with terrace.

Of course our apartment guests may use all hotel amenities (spa area, children’s playroom, etc.) free of charge.

Yes of course. The following options are available for our apartment guests:

  • Apartment for self-catering with daily bread delivery service (catering can be booked on-site)
  • Apartment incl. breakfast buffet (at the hotel)
  • Apartment incl. gourmet half board (at the hotel)

Usually we do not ask for a deposit (except during Christmas and New Year, or for reservation of several rooms for the same dates). We will ask for credit card details which you can provide by telephone.

There is no difference between apartment and holiday flat. We may use both expressions for the same.
